Summary of Experience
Abdul Rashid Hj. Mokhtar obtained his first honours degree in Applied Science from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in year 1992 and started his career as a Process Engineer in a renowned multi-national company in Melaka. He was promoted to a senior position as Plant Operation Manager five years later. His capability in Production Management, Quality Control and Assurance as well as Total Quality Management has made him entrusted by his previous company to take up task in company’s global participation in Japan, Taiwan, Russian and Vietnam operation wings which he was sent as a specialist.
His strength is on running Project and Operation - Management & Delivery. He has involved in multifaceted Project Cycles & Phases - Investment Economics, Feasibility Studies, Field Development Plan, Conceptual Design, Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design Engineering, Procurement Engineering, Construction Management, Commissioning Support, Handover, Facilities Improvement / Rehabilitation, Operation and Mainte-nance of Customer’s Asset.
In project management, he has served from low to high capital projects ranging from design, build and operate of offshore assets - both Greenfield and Brownfield projects. His role in engineering design projects around leading and integration of a multiple engineering disciplones ranging from Process, Pipeline, Civil / Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument and Specialized Third Party Services.
In operation Management, he rendered supports as required to the Project Management Team from setting up project organization & resources, networks, conceiving master plans in planning & project control systems, documentation management systems, recruitment of competent personnel, and the assurance of expectation for DCC, Human Resource and Finance. He also sponsors and assures mitigation plans are in place and met and re-allocate resource to meet timely engineering project delivery.
In another area, Abdul Rashid also served as Professional Trainer from 2003 and has been since attached on and off as Principal Consultant and Trainer for nearly 1000 private or government agency in the area of Quality, Environment, Safety and Technical Specification, and Project Management & Governance.
As such, he is also a Panel Consultant/Trainer for SIRIM BERHAD for QMS, EMS, OHSAS and IATF. He is a certified Lead Assessor (Reg. No : A 10336 under IRCA) and registered Trainer for PSMB. He is also a Certified Assessor for RPL (Recognition Prior Learning) for Diploma Programme Assesment under Great Britain College Consortium. He is also the professional trainer for Institute of Leadership & Management (City and Guilds, UK) and had delivered approximately 500 hours Public Training for ILM certified course (INDCERT PSMB).
